VOLUNTEER & STAFF OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, college students, and YOUNG ADULTS.

Hidden Acres Camps exists to lead children and youth closer to God by experiencing outdoor activities and times of worship with a focus on the Creator. The camp seeks leaders who exhibit exemplary Christian leadership qualities.

We see the ministry of Hidden Acres Summer Camps as a ministry to our staff as well. We hope and pray that every person that serves at Hidden Acres will have opportunities to grow in their faith by exercising their gifts and talents, as well as through the encouragement of the fellowship of believers. We also focus on times of training helpful to our staff’s growth as Christian Leaders with a focus on servant leadership.

Applications open November 1st. After submitted, they will be processed and reviewed by our head staff members, with a confirmation email after hiring decisions have been made.

summer camp roles

 

Head Counselors

The job of head counselor is one of the most important roles of camp. Your role has a direct impact on the campers and most often influences whether or not a camper enjoyed their experience. Your role is one of the most taxing yet rewarding. A camper’s experience is often times a result of the dedication (or lack thereof) of their counselors. Applicants must be high school graduates. There is a limited of positions opened and this is a paid role.

 

Media Team

This role creates memories of camp that are long-lasting. Your role is to pull out the most memorable moments of each week of the summer so these memories can be re-lived in the future. There is a Media Coordinator role plus assistant roles. Media Coordinator is a paid role but applicant must have experience leading groups and experience as a photographer and/0r videographer. Media assistants are volunteers with talent in photography and work well with a team.

 

Kitchen Crew

This role is important in keeping our campers well fed. HA prides itself in providing delicious homestyle cooked meals. We expect our kitchen staff to approach this role in a servant-hearted manner ready to meet the needs of the staff and campers. There is a limited number of assistant paid positions as well as volunteer roles in the kitchen crew.


Assistant Counselors

The job of assistant counselor is one of the most important roles of camp. Your role has a direct impact on the campers and most often influences whether or not a camper enjoyed their experience. Your role is one of the most taxing yet rewarding. A camper’s experience is often times a result of the dedication (or lack thereof) of their counselors. Applicants must have finished their freshman year in high school. This is a volunteer role.

 

Set-up/Maintenance

This role is vital to the logistics of camp ministry. If this job is done well, camp will run smoothly. This role is important in keeping campers hydrated, assisting game/activities in having the proper equipment, clearing facilities of garbage, etc...Keeping our grounds and facilities maintained is important to the safety of our campers. There is a Set-Up/Maintenance Coordinator role plus assistant roles. The Coordinator role is a paid role but applicant must have experience leading groups. Assistants are volunteers and have to have finished their freshman year in high school.

Waterfront Directors & Lifeguards

This role has top importance and high responsibility at our camp setting at Hidden Acres. You are directly responsible for the safety of our campers at the pools as well as at the lake. This role is not to be taken lightly and needs to be administered in a firm manner. Applicants will be required to receive a certification. This is a paid role.

 

Games/Activities:

This role is important in bringing excitement, fun, competition and team-building to the camp environment. It is important to keep spirits high and balance team competition with enjoyment of the activity. There is a Coordinator role plus assistant roles. The Coordinator role is a paid role but applicant must have experience leading groups they will also need to be certified as archery instructors and help lead Basooka ball. Assistants are volunteers and have to have finished their freshman year in high school.
